This one-day program brought together allied professionals from the northeast region to discuss current practices and trends within the heart rhythm community.

EP and Device Therapy for Allied Professionals Program Description

EP and Device Therapy for Allied Professionals: Applying Knowledge to Clinical Practice is a NEW one-day program presented by the Heart Rhythm Society and hosted at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT. 

The purpose of this program is to bring together allied professionals from the northeast region to discuss current practices and trends within the heart rhythm community.  Through didactic sessions, panel discussions and hands-on opportunities clinicians working in device and electrophysiology labs will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to best manage arrhythmia patients.

Five (5) CME/CE credits available!

Who Should Attend

The target audience includes nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and technologists.

Learning Objectives

  • Demonstrate knowledge of device interrogation and interpretation
  • Understand concepts related to mapping and ablation technologies in the EP lab setting
  • Discuss periprocedural patient management for EP, ablation and device therapies
  • Understand ethical issues related to EP and device patient care

The Heart Rhythm Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians and by the New York State Nurses Association to provide continuing education for nurses and nurse practitioners.

The Heart Rhythm Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The AMA has determined that physicians not licensed in the USA who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
