November 21, 2024 – HRS endorsed the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act of 2024 to prevent the across-the-board 2.83% cut to the MPFS conversion factor set to take effect on January 1, 2025.
The bill also includes a measure to provide an inflationary update tied to MEI for 2025 that would result in an approximate 4.73% payment increase for CY 2025 physician fee schedule.
While there are few days left in the Congress, the bill’s sponsors have stated their commitment to advancing this legislation before the end of the year. Physician practices cannot continue to absorb increasing costs while Medicare payment rates continuously dwindle.
This is why it is so important that you ask your representatives to co-sponsor H.R. 10073. If you have not already done so, please contact your representative now!
