May 30, 2023 - HRS and members of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Advocacy Coalition sent a letter to the House and Senate sponsors in support of the Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act (H.R. 2389/S. 1302).

May 30, 2023 - CMS recently announced that it has ended its contract with the National Quality Forum (NQF) to serve as the consensus-based entity (CBE) for performance measurement. The NQF, in this role for almost 15 years, provided endorsement and maintenance of health care performance measures used throughout CMS programs, recommendations during CMS’ pre-rulemaking consideration of measures, and input on integrated national strategies for performance measurement across payers.

May 30, 2023 - On February 28th,  Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) held a "Multi-Jurisdictional Contractor Advisory Committee" to discuss clinical use scenarios, available data, and potential new local coverage determinations (LCDs) for remote physiologic monitoring and remote therapeutic monitoring for non-implantable devices.

May 30, 2023 - On May 1st, CMS opened its online portal to accept 2023 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances (EUC) exception applications.
