2006 ACC/AHA/ESC Guidelines for the Management of Patients with Atrial Fibrillation

August 15, 2006—These guidelines present a comprehensive review of the latest information about the definition, classification, epidemiology, pathophysiological mechanisms, and clinical characteristics of atrial fibrillation. The management of this complex and potentially dangerous arrhythmia is then reviewed.

 This document has been retired and replaced by 2014 AHA/ACC/HRS Guideline for the Management of Patients with Atrial Fibrillation.
