April 23, 2021 - HRS and ACC recommend that all Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), state Medicaid plans, and private health insurance companies provide coverage for remote programming of subcutaneous cardiac rhythm monitor systems that is consistent with FDA labeling.

April 21, 2021 - HRS has been in communication with industry regarding Novitas’, a Medicare Administrative Contractor’s, payment levels for the new CPT codes for External Extended Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring. HRS and ACC submitted a letter to Novitas noting concerns related to the MAC’s plan.

December 5, 2020 - On December 1, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its Final Rule for the calendar year 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule

September 1, 2020 - On August 3, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its Proposed Rule for the calendar year (CY) 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.

On February 15, 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released the updated ICD Coverage Policy. 

HRS submitted comments in response to the 2018 Medicare Fee Schedule Proposed Rule and Final Rule. 

June 28, 2017 - In the spring of 2017,  the HRS Subcommittee on Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs released a statement recommending that private payers provide coverage for subcutaneous implantable cardiac defibrillator (S-ICD) therapy, consistent with FDA labeling.
