The Heart Rhythm Society's mission is to improve the care of patients by promoting research, education and optimal health care policies and standards. To support this mission and the vision to end death and suffering due to heart rhythm disorders, the Society advocates for policies that support access to heart rhythm care.

HRS and the American Medical Association (AMA)

Since 2010, HRS has defended the interests of electrophysiologists' on payment changes policies through its partnership with the American Medical Association. That partnership relies on our participation in the AMA's House of Delegates.

IAC Cardiac EP Accreditation

The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) offers accreditation to international facilities in its diagnostic imaging (vascular testing, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology/PET/general nuclear medicine, MRI, diagnostic CT and dental CT) as well as its interventional (carotid stenting, vein treatment and management, cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular catheterization) programs.
