Physicians or physician-scientists with an earned academic degree (MD or equivalent). Specialty Board Certification is encouraged. Trainee members must be enrolled in an approved training program.

Physicians Living Outside the United States: World Bank Low or Lower-Middle Income Countries
HRS offers special membership rates for those who live in countries that are classified as low or lower-middle income by the World Bank. As of April 2020, the first year of membership is complimentary for new applicants. After the first year, dues rates are offered at a 50% discount off our international rates.

Incomplete Applications
HRS charges a $50 fee for partial applications that are not completed within 60 days. HRS will email applicants who submit incomplete applications to let them know which information is missing. An example is a missing CV or resume. After 60 days, the application is closed, the provisional membership is terminated, and the membership deposit will be refunded, minus the $50 application fee.
