How do I whitelist an email address?
Whitelisting is a quick, one-time task to ensure the sender of an email gets added to your address book or safe senders list. When you whitelist HRS emails, they will avoid overzealous spam filters to ensure they arrive in your inbox, ready to be opened.
Usually, all you need to do is open an email message and verify the sender can be trusted. Here is how to do that on the following most popular email clients:
To add the sender to your Safe Senders List:
- Click "Outlook" in the top navigation bar
- Select Preferences
- Click the "Junk" folder
- Click the "+" button and add [email protected] to the "Safe Senders" list
If the email ends up in your Junk Email folder:
- Select "Report"
- Back on the "Message" tab
- Click "Not Junk"
To add the sender to your Contacts:
- Tap the email to open it
- Tap the "From Name" to expand the sender emails
- Tap the "From Name" again
- Click "Add to Contacts" adjust any info as needed, then tap "Done" in top left-hand corner
If the email ends up in your Junk Email folder:
- Tap the email to open it
- Tap "Not Junk"
- Tap the "Report" button
- Report as "Not Junk"
To add the sender to your Contacts:
- In the inbox view, hover your cursor over the email
- Click on "More Info" in the drop down window
- A window will appear to the right of your screen
- Click on the
icon to add the email to your contacts list
If the email ends up in your Spam folder:
- Select the email to open it
- Choose: "Report not spam"
On an Android smartphone/tablet (mobile app)
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Contacts app
- At the bottom right, tap "Add"
- Enter the [email protected] for the email address
- Make sure you save the contact to the correct account
- When you're finished, tap "Save"
To add the sender to your Contacts:
- Select the email to open it
- Press the "From Name/Address"
- Press the "From Name/Address" again
- Choose "Create New Contact"
- Press Done
If the email ends up in your Junk folder:
- Select the email to open it
- Press the arrow at the bottom
- Select "Move to Inbox"
To add the sender to your Contacts:
- Select the email
- Hover over the "From address"
- Click the down arrow
- Choose "Add to Contacts"
If the email ends up in your Junk folder:
- Select the email
- Click the "Remove from junk icon"
