RUC Survey for Percutaneous Left Atrial Appendage Closure
The Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions are administering a survey on behalf of the American Medical Association (AMA) Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) for percutaneous transcatheter closure of the left atrial appendage (LAAC).
Members were randomly selected to participate in the survey. If you were selected, you will be asked to estimate the typical time, intensity, and complexity of your work and the relative value unit (RVU) for the procedure compared to a list of reference services with established RVUs. It is important that HRS members in receipt of the survey understand the importance of providing accurate and complete information to inform the correct valuation of the code being surveyed. Before completing the survey, participants are encouraged to review the AMA educational video on the RUC survey process.
